"The Man in the Window" was a live remote 4 camera video event in one of the Macy's display windows on 34th Street in NYC, and the first multicamera live stream on Facebook. The event consisted of Mike Birbiglia living in the window for a week, with Downy fresh sheets, which lasted the week, while he had several guests join him in the window (not all at the same time of course - the room was only 20' x 7' with a bed, table, chairs, and a monitor for the live chat.

We setup 4 PTZ cameras with full-time encoders, providing multiple views and a live switched feed running the entire time, captured ISO recordings of key moments, and edited the recordings on the fly, which were uploaded to YouTube. We integrated live chats feeds, where the audience could send in questions to Mike.
The coordination of crew and talent was part of the fun, as well as writing the code for the live streams on Facebook
